Directions
From Dormont and West Liberty Avenue
- Take W. Liberty Avenue/US 19 south towards Mt. Lebanon. You will travel approx. 1 mile.
- In Mt. Lebanon, at the traffic light turn onto Scott Road.
- Follow Scott Road, it will become Castle Shannon Boulevard.
- Follow Castle Shannon Boulevard past the T station and the Shop N Save.
- Just after the Shop N Save, turn left onto Myrtle Avenue.
- Go 3 more blocks to the library.
- Parking is in the rear.
The library is located in Castle Shannon, just off of Castle Shannon Boulevard on Myrtle Avenue. It is just down the road from Myrtle Avenue Elementary School at 3677 Myrtle Avenue.
From Pittsburgh
- Go through Liberty Tunnels to Route 51 S.
- Follow 51 S for 2.5 miles and turn right onto Route 88.
- Follow 88 for two miles and turn right onto Castle Shannon Boulevard.
- Drive about three blocks on Castle Shannon Boulevard to Vitte's Furniture Store.
- Turn right at Vitte's onto Myrtle Avenue.
- Go 3 more blocks to the library.
- Parking in the rear.
From the PA Turnpike
- Take Exit 6, Monroeville Exit.
- Follow signs to Pittsburgh: You'll be on the Parkway, (a.k.a. Route 376, Route 279 & Routes 22/30).
- Continue on the Parkway through the Squirrel Hill Tunnels to Pittsburgh. After the tunnels, get in right lane.
- Parkway splits near town. Exit where the sign says Liberty Bridge & Crosstown Boulevard. You'll make a big circle which will take you to the Liberty Bridge and Liberty Tunnel.
- Get in left hand lane on bridge and go through the tunnel.
- Turn left onto Route 51S after the tunnel.
- Follow 51 S for 2.5 miles and turn right onto Route 88.
- Follow 88 for two miles and turn right onto Castle Shannon Boulevard. McGinnis Fine Foods will be on your left, 2 vacant buildings will be on your right.
- Drive about three blocks on Castle Shannon Boulevard to Vitte's Furniture Store. Turn right after Vitte's onto Myrtle Avenue.
- Go 3 more blocks to the library (past Myrtle School).
- Parking in the rear.
