Closed for Thanksgiving!
The Moon Township Public Library will be closed on November 27 in honor of Thanksgiving. We hope you have a safe and pleasant Thanksgiving with your family and friends! We will be open regular hours on Friday, November 28.
Thanksgiving Movie & Craft Day
Come see the movie Molly's Pilgrim based on the book by Barbara Cohen, and then learn how to make a cornhusk doll. This event is for grades 1-5 at 1pm -2:30pm on Saturday, November 29.
Annual Gingerbread Creation Contest
It is once again that time of yummy time of the year when we hold the Annual Gingerbread Creation Contest! Entries should be made of all edible materials and have a base no larger than 18x24 inches. The winners judged on creativity, originality, and neatness and will be voted on at the library's Holiday Open House on December 13 and continuing through December 18. The winners will be announced Friday, Decmeber 19. Feel free to contact the library for more information. There will be a prize for each category of children (up to grade 5) and teens/adults (grade 6 and up).
Join the Green Club
Kids in grades 3 through 5 who are interested in saving the Earth are invited to join the Green Club. Club meetings are held at the library from 2 to 3 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month. Please call the library at (412) 269-0334 and join us in trying to save the Earth for a better tomorrow.
After School Club
1st and 2nd graders are invited to join the Moon Library After School Club. This fall we will be featuring Fractured Fairy Tales. Come for an hour of snacks and stories from 4 to 5 p.m. every other week on the following Thursdays: November 6th and 20th, and December 4th. Please call the library at (412) 269-0334 to register.
