Cool Site of the Day - this site picks a cool site every day and allows you to vote on exactly how cool (or uncool) it is. At the end of the year they let you vote on Cool Site of the Year. This site also has cool sites under specific categories. This should be your first stop for web surfing!!

Wired Antarctica - From the site:"In these pages, you will learn about the fragile environment of Antarctica, the science that takes place there and the people who actually like working in this cold place."

Ancient Stone of Scotland - If Stonehenge intrigues you, you may be interested in this. The site pictures and very briefly describes hundreds of ancient stone circles and cairns in Scotland. Unfortunately, it doesn't tell you much about why the stones are there, but it's neat to look at anyway.

Africam - This site hosts multiple web cams on different game reserve sights. You may see elephants, giraffes, and other animals! If it's night in Africa when you're surfing, try the highlights page for the best picture of the day. (The link also is found among all the cam links listed at the very bottom of the page.)

Internet Public Library's Teen Section - Home-made pages about career searching and paper writing, along with a great collection of links chosen by a librarian and teens. The links collection has 13 different subject areas covering just about everything you're looking for!

The Mayflower Web Pages - Absolutely everything you would ever want or need to know about the Mayflower and its passengers the Pilgrims. Includes info about the ship, documents related to the Mayflower, passenger lists, and historical information. Even has a section that guides students to possible helpful parts of the page (see the Message to Students section).
