I Love My Bookmobile! Valentine Fundraiser
Saturday, February 13 from 5:00-7:00pm
The Northland Public Library Foundation is honored to invite you to a wonderful evening of food and drink,
kids' activities, book readings and signings, a silent auction, storyboard interviews about the bookmobile, and
tours of the bookmobile. Our special guest for the fundraiser is Pittsburgh’s own Jim O’Brien, the author of
several books on local sports personalities and events. Jim will have many of his books available for purchase.
In addition to the Valentine fundraising event, you can show your support for the Bookmobile by purchasing a special
Bookmobile Heart for just $1 at the circulation, customer service and reference desks and in the Book Nook. The
hearts will be displayed throughout the library this month. Our goal is to thank all of our donors for their
support in the past year and ask for their continued support in our efforts to raise funds to maintain our
Bookmobile service. For more information, please call 412-366-8100 ext. 103 or e-mail

Tax Preparation Assistance Available
Northland Public Library is again offering senior citizens and low-income residents free assistance in preparing
federal and state tax forms. This service will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am to noon
from February 2 to April 15. Help is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and we cannot guarantee
that everyone needing assistance can be accommodated on any given day. A signup sheet will be available
outside the lower entrance of the library prior to opening on days that the service is offered. Please
make sure to bring all necessary paperwork needed to prepare the forms.
